The 2022 French Open has moved into its second round, but we’ve already seen our fair share of upsets. 17th-seeded American Reilly Opelka lost his first-round match, as did 2nd-seeded Barbora Krejcikova, and 5th-seeded Anett Kontaveit.
As we continue on in the tournament, we’ll give you the day’s schedule for both the Men’s and Women’s Draw, as well as some of our favorite bets for the day.
Just as a primer for those who are new to betting on tennis, you are able to bet on four things:
- Moneyline: who will win the match
- Game spread: how many total games will one player win by?
- Set spread: how many sets will one player win by?
- Over/Under: over or under how many total games will be played in the match?

Best Bet: Madison Keys (-4.5 games) +112 on DraftKings
I like Keys, but this is mainly about her opponent. Garcia has played only once in the last few months and that was during her first-round win over a player who was visibly cramping during the match. Garcia may not be 100% recovered from her injury, and Keys has serve to cruise through this match. It also helps that Garcia makes as many unforced errors as Keys usually does.

Best Bet: Iga Swiatek (-7.5 games) -140 on DraftKings
Yes, this is a lot of games in tennis, but I also don’t think it’s enough. Swiatek is the number one woman in the world for a reason. She has a tremendous serve and has the groundstrokes to dominate a match from the baseline. She also moves better than Riske. She just does everything way better than risk. This might be over quickly.

Best Bet: Karolina Pliskova (under 19.5 games) +115 on DraftKings
Pliskova needs just 12 games to secure a win over wild card Jeanjean. However, we can’t really bet on 6-0, 6-0; however, I still don’t think Pliskova will lose many games her; maybe four all match. That makes me feel comfortable in taking this bet in what I think will be a bit of a cakewalk.

Best Bet: Danielle Collins (-4.5 games) (-105 at DraftKings)
This just comes down to me believing Collins is the far superior player. She has a much better serve and is more athletic with better overall movement. I think those will be too huge factors, especially considering Collins is the more aggressive and assertive player. Since Rogers isn’t a player known for her power, I think Collins should be able to force the tempo and take some big sets.

Mikael Ymer
|
Best Bet: Mikael Ymer (+4.5 games) at -112 on DraftKings
There are some people who think Ymer can win this match outright, and while I can’t go that far, I do think this is going to be a very closely contested match. Evans is not a particularly skilled clay court player, while Ymer has been better on clay in his career. Ymer is a more active and athletic player, so I think we can keep up with Evan’s style of play, which is more about defense and return game than aggressive offense.
