HOW THEY GOT HERE
Delaware became the first-ever fifth seed to win the CAA title — upsetting No. 1 seed Towson in the semifinals before taking down UNC-Wilmington in the conference championship game. A late-regular-season swoon saw their standing in the conference drop heading into the tournament, losing their last three games (two of them to Towson and UNC-W). The Blue Hens will be looking for their first-ever victory at the Big Dance, having gone 0-5 in their first five appearances.

WHO TO WATCH
- Jameer Nelson, G, Jr. – 13.7 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 1.6 SPG
- The son of Jameer Nelson — who led St. Joseph’s to a No. 1 seed and the Elite Eight at the 2004 NCAA Tournament before a 14-year NBA career — follows in his father’s footsteps to the Big Dance, helping Delaware make the tournament for just the second time since 2000. He hardly had a CAA Final to remember, posting just 10 points on 3-of-10 shooting, but he’s the engine of Delaware’s offense.
- Andrew Carr, F, Soph. – 9.9 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 39% 3PT
