The Seattle Seahawks’ teardown could very well include young star wide receiver, DK Metcalf, after all.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday that, despite the team transmitting the message that the 24-year-old is not available on the trade market, he could be had “at the right price.”
Metcalf is in the final season of his rookie deal and will call for an exorbitant contract for a Seahawks team that looks as though it’s starting from scratch after parting ways with franchise icons like Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner.
Considering the current climate of the wide-receiving market — as seen in the Davante Adams contract with the Las Vegas Raiders — trading Metcalf is the obvious avenue for a rebuilding Seattle franchise to take.
Especially after seeing the five-draft-pick haul that Tyreek Hill yielded the Kansas City Chiefs from the Miami Dolphins.
Adam Thompson of Bookies.com forecasted what the current odds could look like of where Metcalf could be playing his football next season and while the Seahawks are still the favorite, a few receiver-needy teams aren’t too far behind.
