HOW THEY GOT HERE
Wright State is a prime example of the beauty of conference tournaments. Last season, the Raiders were first in the Horizon after finishing 16-4 in the regular season, but they were shockingly eliminated in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. This season, after finishing fourth in the Horizon Conference’s regular season, they knocked off the top seed, Cleveland State, in the semi-finals, before Trey Calvin hit a step-back jump shot with just over 10 seconds left to lift the Raiders over Northern Kentucky and into the NCAA tournament.
