NBA Odds and Schedule, May 13
#2 Boston Celtics (51-31) @ #3 Milwaukee Bucks (51-31), 7:30 p.m. ET
Milwaukee leads series 3-2
Watch on ESPN
After losing on their homecourt 110-107, the Celtics will now travel to Milwaukee and try to extend the series. The Celtics continued their cold shooting from beyond the arc, hitting just 32.3% of their threes in the Game 5 loss.
The Bucks, on the other hand, connected on 44.8% from deep, including 4-7 from Jrue Holiday, who finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists to go along with two huge defensive plays at the end of the game. Milwaukee also got 40 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Each team has responded to the long series by using essentially seven-man rotations and making sure their best players are on the floor for 35+ minutes a game. As a result, the series’ final two games may simply come down to who has the legs to stay strong under those kinds of minutes.
On the season, Boston is the 5th-best team in the NBA against the spread at 49-39-3, while Milwaukee is middle-of-the-pack at 44-48, which is 17th. At home, Milwaukee is actually much worse, going 17-29 ATS (28th), while Boston is the best team in basketball on the road, going 29-15 ATS as the road team.
Both teams are middle of the pack when it comes to the Over/Under. Boston is currently sitting at 45-45-1 (13th) while Milwaukee is 45-47 (16th). However, in the playoffs, Milwaukee has gone under in eight of their ten games, while Boston has gone under in five of their nine games.
Boston is also 6-3 against the spread in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, while Milwaukee has gone 5-5.

#2 Memphis Grizzlies (56-26) @ #3 Golden State Warriors (53-29), 10:00 p.m. ET
Warriors lead series 3-2
Watch on ESPN
The Grizzlies responded with their backs up against the wall in Memphis, cruising to a 134-95 win without Ja Morant. Considering Morant is listed as out again for Game 6, it will take another tremendous effort for Memphis to extend this series.
It was a true team effort in Game 5 with three players scoring 21 points (Jaren Jackson Jr., Tyus Jones, and Desmond Bane). The Grizzlies also shot 43.9% from beyond the arc and only turned the ball over nine times, compared to 22 turnovers for the Warriors. The Grizzlies will need to maintain that type of fundamentally-sound basketball to win this one on the road.
On the season, Memphis is the best team in the NBA against the spread, going 59-33-1, while the Warriors are 45-43-4 ATS (14th). The Warriors are particularly tough at home, going 26-18-2 ATS (3rd), while the Grizzlies are also pretty strong on the road, going 28-17-1 ATS as the road team (3rd).
Memphis is better at hitting the over, coming in at 47-42-4 in the O/U, good for 9th, while the Warriors rely on their defense and are 42-48-2 (25th).
Those trends have actually reversed in the 2022 NBA Playoffs as Golden State is 7-3 in the O/U but Memphis is 5-6. Memphis is also 7-4 against the spread in the playoffs, while Goden state is just 4-6.
