The NBA announced on Tuesday that they have fined Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic $40,o00 for confronting a fan and throwing his cell phone into the crowd following Sunday’s game against the Pacers in Indiana.
The 27-year-old has been out for several weeks due to plantar fasciitis and was on the bench in street clothes for Portland’s 129-98 loss to the Pacers.
It remains unknown what the fan, sitting courtside, said throughout the night to Nurkic, but the big man walked directly toward the spectator and got in his face before tossing his phone into the seats behind.
Nurkic had enough 😳

Nurkic’s fine comes just days after the league hit Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant with a $25,000 fine for snapping back at a fan who was sitting near the baseline at Barclays Center.
