It feels so good to have the MLB back. We’ve had four days of action so far, allowing us to begin to see the teams who may have the talent to win a title and others who we may want to attack for our daily bets. There’s obviously a long way to go, and we have more day baseball again today, so we shouldn’t waste any more time.

Below we’ll take you through today’s entire schedule, the betting odds for each game along with the starting pitchers, and some stats and picks that we think should help you not only prepare to enjoy the game but also think about which way you want to want to bet the game if that’s something you want to do.

Also, we recommend checking the Fangraphs Probables Grid to see the likely starting pitchers from each game with clickable links to get the most in-depth information on each pitcher.

MLB Odds and Schedule, April 11

Cleveland Guardians (1-2) @ Kansas City Royals (2-1), 2:10 p.m. ET

  • CLE Starting Pitcher: Aaron Civale (12 Wins, 3.84 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 7.17 K/9 in 2021)
  • KC Starting Pitcher: Carlos Hernandez (6 Wins, 3.68 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 7.77 K/9 in 2021)
  • Bullpen ERAs: CLE 2.53; KC 6.89
  • The Pick:

Milwaukee Brewers (1-2) @ Baltimore Orioles (0-3), 3:05 p.m. ET

    • MIL Starting Pitcher: Adrian Houser (10 Wins, 3.22 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 6.64 K/9 in 2021)
    • BAL Starting Pitcher: Bruce Zimmerman (4 Wins, 5.04 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, 7.38 K/9 in 2021)
    • Bullpen ERAs: BAL 3.38; MIL 2.92
    • The pick: Brewers F5 Moneyline (-160)
    • Why?: Consider me an Adrian Houser fan. Well, let’s use “fan” loosely, but I think he’s an incredibly undervalued pitcher. He has a career 3.73 ERA in the big leagues and won 10 games for the Brewers last year with a 3.22 ERA. He’s just easy to dismiss because he doesn’t get a lot of strikeouts. Well, he knows that too, which is why he spent most of the off-season focusing on his swing-and-miss offerings. In think Houser is by far the better pitcher in this match-up, and the Brewers have the better offense, so I’m expecting this F5 bet to clear nicely for us.
